How to Use
1. Sit somewhere well lit with your pet settled — calm, not restrained.
2. Hold the paw gently and press the pad to extend the nail.
3. Switch on the LED and look for the darker line inside the nail. That's the quick.
4. Trim a small amount at a time, staying clearly short of it. Several small cuts beat one confident big one.
5. Do a few nails, then stop. There's no rule that says you finish all four paws in one sitting.
Keep styptic powder or cornstarch within reach. If you do catch the quick it will bleed and it stings — pressing styptic powder onto the tip stops it quickly. Every experienced owner has done it at least once.
If your pet already dislikes having their paws touched, spend a few days just handling their feet and giving treats before the clippers come out at all.
